Run CMD (Command Prompt) as Administrator: Well, if you have been using Windows operating system, then you might be aware of CMD (Command Prompt) and how we use it and for which purpose we use it. CMD is an acronym for Command. Command prompt or CMD is the command line interpreter of Windows operating systems. Command prompt is an interpreter which accepts the commands or the inputs from the User and translate it into machine language.

Using CMD you can easily and quickly launch any files, delete and files or folders but if you want to perform any operation related windows system ex. activating windows, repairing windows, etc then you need to run windows as administrator.

To run cmd as administrator you just need to search for cmd in windows search tool and by right clicking on CMD you will see option as “Run cmd as administrator”. Using this you command prompt will directy open with administrative rights. But using this process everytime you will need to right click on CMD and run it as administrator. Although it’s an easy process, it still takes a few extra steps to run CMD with administrative rights.

How To Run CMD (Command Prompt) as Administrator on Windows

So in this article we are going to share one working method. If you follow this method then you will not to do previous process to open command prompt and you can always run cmd as administrator in single click. There’s a way to set the elevated prompt as default one.

Step 1: Open File Explorer on you windows system

Step 2: Then in C Drive nevigate to this below path

C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\System Tools

Here you should see Command Prompt shortcut.

Step 3: Right click on Command Prompt and click on Properties

Step 4: Select the Shortcut Tab as mentioned below.

Step 6: Then Check on Run as Administrator option and click on and Apply.

Well, thats it. now onwards whenever you launch cmd, it will directly run with the administrative rights and you will see the elevated prompt.
